Our room had a nice view over the mountains.

Reavers Lodge was like a youth camp, with dozens of drunken teenagers who made noise until after 3am. All other guests felt out of place. Several guests complained about the noise to the staff, who promised to do something but did not. In fact, one staff member joined the teenagers drinking. Even apart from the noise, Reavers Lodge does not deserve 3.5 stars. The bed was suspended on top of the living area with a window (no curtain) which can be looked into by other guests. We found a cockroach in bed the first night. The breakfast is very basic with just bread, milk and cereals.

Good view, good staff, very good value

The spa and kitchen/ lounge facilities and the vending machines. Private bathroom

The extremely squeaky bunks. They squealed really loudly everytime someone moved when on them. The steep hill wasn't the best

Nothing, we had to change our plans 2 weeks before our visit and as this was under 30 days notice we were not entitled to any refund. This was in their cancellation policy, but as we had fully intended to stay for the whole time booked we had not read it. we just thought it would be the same as everywhere else. I spend in excess of 40 nights in hotels / motels each year, and this was the first time I have ever come across this

We had to wait for service when we first arrived, upon entering our room we found there was only a half roll of toilet paper and no spare, when flushed the toilet continued to run and we notified reception who said they would get it fixed. When we returned 4 hours later it had been fixed but continued to run still. We were then allocated another room, but the guy who showed us it attempted to straighten the bed covers as they looked like they had been slept in. This new room overlooked an inner courtyard where there was a barbeque/ spa party going on until late. I had run the Kepler Challenge the day before and was looking for reat but got the opposite.

Facing the Remarkables, the view is great. General manager Dean is great! He gave me good introduction of Queenstown, and free pizza, after I complained that I can use my booked room because it has not been cleaned at might night.

My room was not cleaned and not usable even in might night. Really frustrating. But Dean arranged free pizza for me. I am happy with that, though I prefer a clean room in time.

    The price.

The double bed which opened out from under the couch had broken springs and sank in the middle. We couldn't sleep comfortably that night. The basin in the toilet has a glass panel at head height just above the sink. So one can't wash one's face without hitting the panel. There was no milk in the fridge for our morning tea, although there was everything else -- cups, sugar, tea and coffee. We took a room with a loft. I didn't realise it was standard for the loft roof to be three feet above the bed.

    - rooms were quite cold, but not as bad as the shared room / kitchen, all windows were constantly open and no heating was available - the room is very small, especially for 4 people: 2 stacked beds that are in dire need of some lube.

Value for money, relaxed atmosphere, nice views, friendly staff, easy check in/out. Nice size fridge, also handy to have that aditional rest room nearby.

Bathroom needs shower curtain around shower - no way to keep bathmat from getting soaked. Have to be careful when parking car.

Handy to the centre of Queenstown (5-8 minutes walk), It was a friendly environment despite the fact that I was in a distinctly older age group than most the other guests. The common kitchen was well cleaned and there were plenty of utensils. It was nice to have breakfast laid out to start the day with a full stomach.

I had a rear facing room (55) therefore there wasn't much view to be had over the magical scenery that Queenstown and the surrounding region offers, however this is not really a don't like as I could have asked for another room but it was raining and the visibility was low.

We really enjoyed our stay at Reavers. The staff were great, Matt was the main person that we dealt with and he was very accommodating for our stay. There were a few issues with our room with it being serviced we had been missed and then when we did get a service our stores has not been restocked, once the staff were advised of this they quickly remedied the error to a very satisfactory standard. Affordability AWESOME! Not a place where I would take the kids but it was perfect for our stay. If we had one thing to improve on that would be ROOM 13, that was our room sort your heating out or have some fans as being above the boiler we roasted! On that note we will def be back to stay at Reavers!

the staff were awesome, and reavers had a very cruisy relaxed feel to it..

The 2 bedroom apartment offered to us online wasn't available on arrival, and then the 2 loft apartments that were promised to be beside each other ended up being at opposite ends of the resort.
